Nevada will offer eight extended holiday weekends for travelers to choose among in 2018, including two created by holidays observed only in Nevada: Nevada Day and Family Day. Nevada Day, observed on Friday, October 26th, marks the 1864 admission of Nevada to the Union. Family Day, on Friday, November 23rd, is not “Black Friday” as in other states but a special time to appreciate the importance of family ties.
