Oregon Public Holidays 2018

This page contains a calendar of all 2018 Oregon public holidays. Please scroll down to view.

Oregon’s public holidays in 2018 will give those interested in exploring the “Beaver State” plenty of time to take in all.

Oregon will have six long weekends to choose from in 2018, fewer than most other states but sufficient nonetheless. These extended weekends will include Veteran’s Day Weekend despite its falling on a Sunday in 2018, since the following Monday will be observed as well.

Things to see and do in Oregon in 2018

Among the many places of scenic beauty and historic noteworthiness to visit in Oregon on your holiday weekends are these:

Crater Lake National Park, where you can hike to the rim of the massive, mountain-lined crater for a breathtaking view over Crater Lake, the deepest lake in the United States. There are many scenic trails around the lake, and you can also fish the lake, swim in it, or boat out to Wizard Island.

Newport, a city of beaches, lighthouses, and rocky, scenic Pacific coastal strips. Here, you can visit several state nature parks, enjoy the much-celebrated Oregon Coast Aquarium, and learn of the city’s connection to the sea at the Pacific Maritime Heritage Center.

Portland, Oregon’s capital and largest city, where you will find a plethora of popular attractions, including: the beautiful Portland Japanese Garden in Washington Park, the much-acclaimed Oregon Zoo, and local and “exotic” artwork at the Portland Art Museum.
