Virginia’s public holidays in 2018 are an ideal chance to get out an explore the history and scenic beauty of the Old Dominion.

There will be eight long weekends in Virginia in 2018, including the weekend resulting from Lee-Jackson Day (Friday, January 18th), a holiday celebrated only in Virginia. Lee-Jackson Day celebrates the Virginian Confederate generals Robert E. Lee and “Stonewall” Jackson and, coming just before Martin Luther King Jr. Day, it creates a four-day weekend.

Things to see and do in Virginia in 2018
